persons with disabilities confidently change is the topic of the kick-off forum taking place from September 24 to 25, 2020 organized by Caritas Dalat.
About 30 participants are also persons with disabilities, leaders and representatives of the Lam Dong province's disabled people's association and 9 disabled people's associations in the province.
On the first day of the forum, participants listened, discussed and shared some highlights in the activities of some disabled people's associations, thereby building action plans and building a common commitment to walk together on the journey of change.
Next, participants participated in training on effective communication skills in multi-stakeholder partnerships. That helps participants gain more knowledge, skills and spirit in the process of changing together, with content on dialogue and non-violent communication presented by Deputy Director of Caritas Dalat - Dinh Thi Hong Phuc.
In his opening speech, Director of Caritas Dalat - Father Gioan Bosco Hoang Van Chinh expressed his gratitude for his enthusiasm and sacrifice in overcoming difficulties in the situation to attend and join hands in building an action program with Caritas Dalat for persons with disabilities. Caritas Dalat with its small contributions will always be ready to accompany disabled people's associations and persons with disabilities.
This kick-off and training forum aims to inspire change among attendees and build forum progress in the next 2 years. Caritas Dalat and associations of persons with disabilities commit to accompanying each other in a common program with the aim of supporting persons with disabilities to integrate into the community.
The forum also had the sharing presence of Dr. Vo Thi Hoang Yen - Founder and CEO of DRD center.
