On the morning of March 14, 2025, the Dalat Pastoral Center bustlingly welcomed 30 members from Associations of People with Disabilities (PWDs) in Lam Dong province, including Dai Hoai, Bao Loc, Bao Lam, Di Linh, Duc Trong and Lam Ha. Instead of dry seminars or serious classes, this is an exciting learning space where everyone can learn while playing, laughing until they forget their fatigue! Under the guidance of Mr. Tran Minh Hai - CEO of Future Center - with more than 30 years of experience in social activities and 25 years of teaching, he has helped students improve their organizing skills and bring many memorable moments.

Learn by experience, arouse excitement!

Right from the first minute, Mr. Hai warmed up the atmosphere with a "unique introduction". Instead of introducing themselves, students must draw a picture to represent themselves, then let their partner introduce themselves. When they heard themselves introduced by others, everyone was excited, surprised and laughed endlessly. Some people dream of being a palm tree to add color to life, some people choose to make a fishing rod to express their desire to explore new horizons.

Entering the main part, students not only learn skills for organizing outdoor activities and meetings but also practice on the spot. Games are continuously deployed with unlimited creativity. From the game "bird escapes the cage" to "sour lemon and crab", "group shooting"... all are transformed with unexpected elements, making players unable to react in time and... laugh out loud.

The secret to being a professional game manager is emphasized by Teacher Hai: "The game manager is not only the instructor but also the soul of the game!". To ensure everyone participates and doesn't get lost, the game leader needs to:

  • Explaining the rules of the game is easy to understand, even allowing you to try it out first.
  • Incorporate unexpected elements to increase the fun.
  • Maintain your spirit against "cold as money" players.
  • Always smiling and full of energy to inspire people.

In fact, some students were hesitant at first, but after just a few minutes, no one could sit still. Especially when it comes to team games, everyone coordinates so well that they put all their attention into the games!

Activity is not just about playing – it's also a way to send a message!

Not only stopping at laughter, games also contain profound lessons. After each activity, the game leader will ask participants' feelings and draw meaningful messages. Some students shared that they realized that these activities help practice many useful skills such as listening, observing, remembering, teamwork, creating connections in groups and most importantly, the willingness to challenge oneself.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh - Vice President of Duc Trong District Association of People with Disabilities - also encouraged young people: "The Association really needs young people who are enthusiastic about learning and inheriting from the previous generation. Hopefully after this training session, everyone will bring the skills they have just learned to apply in their locality."

The afterglow remains forever, the journey continues!

The training session ended in everyone's excitement. Caritas Da Lat would also like to sincerely thank Mr. Tran Minh Hai for not being afraid of the long distance, bringing us an extremely meaningful and useful training session. “Laughing until my stomach hurts” was the most mentioned saying after the program, but more importantly, everyone brought home useful knowledge, new friends and an optimistic spirit to continue their journey with the Association of People with Disabilities.

Few people know that, to have cheerful smiles and moments of community immersion like this, many people with disabilities have had to overcome countless difficulties and barriers. Unsteady steps and unhealthy hands cannot prevent them from coming to the training session. They come here, not only to learn skills, but also to assert themselves, to prove that disability is not a limit. They are not only students, but also inspirational people and shining examples of life's will.
