From April 17 to 24, 2024, a delegation of volunteers from the Association for the Development of Medicine in Vietnam (ADM - Aquitaine) collaborated with Caritas Dalat to visit and work in Lam Dong Province.
Specifically, the group conducted eye examinations and distributed free prescription glasses to local residents at Loc Nam Church, Kala Church, Tung Nghia Church, Ta Nung Church, and Sacred Heart Church.

At the same time, the delegation also organized a musculoskeletal massage therapy training course at the Association of the Blind of Lam Dong Province for two days (April 23-24) to train visually impaired youths, enhancing their professional skills and increasing employment opportunities for the students.

After the training course, students will acquire general knowledge of mobilizing joints: back, neck, shoulders, legs, pelvis, and knees, as well as mobilizing and stimulating internal organs: liver, gallbladder, stomach, and large intestine. Students who fully attend and seriously complete the practical sessions will be awarded certificates of completion by the members of the ADM delegation.

Ms. Le Thi Lien (Bao Loc Association of Persons with Disabilities) - a student in the training course, shared: "At the Association of the Blind - Truong Xuan Massage Center in Da Lat City, I was able to participate in and complete the musculoskeletal acupressure massage course guided by instructors and doctors from France. As someone who knew nothing about acupoints and joints, with an eager-to-learn spirit, I was dedicatedly guided by the doctors and have gained a lot of knowledge. I now know how to mobilize joints properly to help relax muscles, reduce fatigue, increase joint flexibility, and improve mobility for patients.
The learning environment was friendly, with good and comfortable facilities that boosted the students' learning spirit. In the classroom, there were sighted people, visually impaired people, and people with other disabilities. Although there were some difficulties regarding language and communication, everyone made great efforts to learn and keep up with the instructors' guidance.
I highly hope that there will be more classes like this in the near future, so that I can continue to learn even more. I would like to send my heartfelt thanks to Caritas Dalat, the instructors, the doctors, and Truong Xuan Massage Center for creating favorable conditions for me to complete this course
."

Although the ADM delegation's trip was brief and busy, it concluded successfully under God's providence, thanks to the warm welcome of the Parish Priests at the various locations, the interpreters, the delegation members, the students at the association, and especially the local authorities at all levels. We wish good health to all members of the delegation and pray that the future endeavors of the ADM delegation will bear abundant fruit.
