To help young people attending the marriage catechism class gain knowledge about the Billings ovulation method, at 7:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, Bosco Diocese, Diocese of Dalat organized a lesson on serving life - Billings Ovulation Method, presented by Ms. Maria Goretti Hong Phuc, Deputy Director of Caritas Dalat and also a member of the Billings Dalat Group. Presenting and participating in the study, there were about 30 young people.
This is a method allowed by the Church, but most of you are learning it for the first time, and some of you still find it a bit strange. You are introduced to the Billings Ovulation Method as a natural way: helping to get pregnant, postponing conception, monitoring reproductive health. This method is applicable to all women, whether regular or irregular cycles; effective, economical, no side effects; promote marital love through dialogue, moderation, shared responsibility between husband and wife and sublimation of love. After the introduction, the couples were attracted to participate in learning with great interest, positivity and responsibility. Some men who did not have girlfriends with them were very focused on listening and taking notes to pass on to their friends. Some people also shared that learning this method and then applying it won't cost money, won't harm your health, etc. so it's necessary to equip yourself with knowledge about the method.
With an intuitive and easy-to-understand presentation, most participants grasp and understand important content such as: knowing the possibility of conception during the cycle; know how to observe and record charts every night; distinguish between 4 periods in the cycle; identify infertile forms; determine peak date X; Understand Billings Laws and know how to apply the Laws.
During the practice session of chart recording, the couples participated very enthusiastically. A male friend helps a female friend do the same thing, and a male friend encourages his female friend: "This is a way like keeping a diary every day." When charting together, the couples looked very happy and enthusiastic. To achieve better learning results, girls will practice recording specific charts according to their cycles when they get home, however, they still need to have support from boys. You will have another learning and sharing session to consolidate knowledge and methods.
The class ended and the couples left happily. Thank God for awakening in your hearts the spirit of learning. May this be your luggage, preparing you before entering married life to confidently and responsibly build and protect family happiness, where life is cherished and developed according to God's plan.
