Program "LEARNING PROMOTION"

For poor, studious ethnic minority children, from Kindergarten to first grade (7 years)

Jesus gave the Church the mission of "proclaiming the Gospel to all nations", a mission that He received from the Father and carried out in the power of the Holy Spirit. Following the example of Jesus, the Church proclaims the Gospel to everyone, but still gives priority to the poor, spiritually and materially.

For the Diocese of Dalat, there is no doubt: ethnic minorities are the poorest people and the priority subjects of spreading the Gospel.

After many years of experience, education is the foundation for the Gospel to be accepted. So a direction has been outlined: create conditions for children to go to school, at least from Kindergarten to the end of first grade (a total of 7 years). In order to invite many people to cooperate and the scholarship can be extended to many students, the scholarship level should be set at 600,000 VND/student/year, and it is guaranteed that the student will receive a 7-year scholarship. A very modest amount, but enough.

This program calls for the cooperation of priests (religious and religious), religious communities, families and all those concerned with serving the poor.

The program started in 1999 and has been maintained until now. In the 2021-2022 school year, the program is helping 860 children in 34 parishes.

Scholarship program “FOR TOMORROW”

The program was started from the 2020-2021 school year by the generosity of a benefactor who was once a child of Diocese of Dalat. He and his colleagues hope to help students with tuition fees from first year until college graduation. Beneficiaries are Catholic students in the Diocese who are in difficult circumstances, have the will to strive, and strive to study in order to later become useful people for their families and society. Once you become talented, you will help other poor students.

The program started from a modest number: 5 students per year.
