From the sacred Mass to the fun games, all have a special spirit: "Play hard, play even the part of those who are seriously ill and cannot participate."
When the games started, the whole space seemed to awaken. Brightly colored sandals dancing on the playground became a symbol of optimism and joy of life. Laughter and cheers rang out everywhere. From the vibrant dance moves, to the dexterity in the games "passing apples with a spoon", "team balloon" or "two feet, three bricks"...
It can be said that the so-called "special" people here show surprising creativity through the way they participate in games. While many "sober" people are often constrained by stereotypes, the patients here bring unique initiatives, making everyone admire and admire. That makes us realize that: freedom of mind is sometimes a precious gift that we accidentally forget.
The event ended but the afterglow of joy and sharing spirit still lingered. In the light of Christmas, we see new hope - that God's love is not just for anyone, but is always present in every smile, every look, even the smallest.
Right after the joy of celebrating Christmas, the feast day of Saint Stephen - the first martyr - reminds us of a profound reality of life: "joy and sadness are always intertwined and inseparable". But as a Christian, we are aware that God is always by our side, and it is God's companionship that helps us go through every challenge with hope and peace.
Sincerely thank Director Father Gioan Bosco Hoang Van Chinh, Fathers, Sisters, Social Work students, and all Caritas Dalat brothers and sisters for joining hands to create a meaningful Christmas season for the patients. May God bless you, reward you abundantly and always keep you in His love.
We are different, but in God's love, we are all one!
