To start the mission, at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the Provincial House (40 Tran Phu, Dalat), New Charged Father Peter Dinh Quoc Dung had the first meeting with the District Caritas Representative Board and Representatives of the Social Charity Board of parishes in the district. Present at the meeting were 17 representatives of Parishes: Cathedral, Chi Lang, Da Thien, Tao Tac, Thanh Mau, Tung Lam, Van Thanh, Vincent,... The meeting also had the presence of Sr. Anna Hang, Caritas Dalat Office.

After the sanctifying prayer of the Special Father, Mr. Peter Le Thanh Bao, Head of the Caritas District Representative Board, introduced the participants and shared about the situation and charitable activities of Caritas District and parishes. Next, representatives of the parishes shared more about the parish's charitable activities so that the Charismatic Father could have an overview of the charitable activities at the parishes in the district.Charitable activities being carried out at the parish such as: visiting and sharing monthly necessities on holidays and Tet for the poor, the disabled, people in difficult circumstances, helping shelters, social establishments, supporting natural disasters... Most grandparents and brothers and sisters hope that the Social Security Committee - Caritas in the parishes will carry out the spirit of love - charity for the poor and people in difficult circumstances in their parish first, and then create connections between parishes. parish in a number of activities such as: supporting hospitalized patients, helping and facilitating disadvantaged girls, organizing mass, praying, supporting more difficult parishes,...

To help Father and everyone understand better, Mr. Peter Bao gave an overview of the Social Security Committee - Caritas. Caritas (original Latin) is Love and Charity. CARITAS: a sign of God's love for everyone, is a global charity organization of the Catholic Church. Social Charity Committee - Caritas Vietnam is an organization of social charity activities under the Vietnamese Bishops' Conference; and operating principles, mission, service objects, areas of operation... of the Social Security Committee - Caritas.In the same spirit, Sr. Anna Hang shared a few features about: Caritas Dalat Is a member of Caritas Vietnam, directly under the Bishop's House of Dalat. - Operational direction, of Caritas Vietnam in 2022 "taking care of the common home together". To keep pace with Caritas Vietnam's operating direction, Caritas Dalat has built an operating direction based on Caritas Vietnam's route.With activities: Building Caritas network; Programs: Life protection, environmental protection, charity, study promotion, micro-credit, support for the disabled, support for the mentally ill ( Trong Duc Facility), people's self-development (PLD),... all Caritas Dalat activities aim to take care of the Common House and help the poor. Certainly district and parish Caritas are also invited to carry out the same general direction of action, but based on initiatives, needs and available conditions in each parish.

After everyone's sharing, the Special Father shared his thoughts and invited everyone: "Caritas spirituality is truly beautiful, Caritas does not stop at charity work, Caritas aims at comprehensive development, towards protecting life, respecting human dignity, protecting the environment, ecology and helping the poor,... is to make everyone know and praise God. Therefore, before doing charity work, we must be imbued with and live the spirit of love and charity first.” Father is anxious to strengthen his staff, and have the opportunity to introduce Caritas spirituality to more parishes in the district.

The meeting proposed a plan of activities in the coming time:

ü Continue with previously launched activities (organizing a love festival for persons with disabilities, protecting the environment,...)

ü Regular meetings on a quarterly basis (every 3 months) include the Charismatic Father, the Caritas District Representative Board, and representatives of the Parish Social Committee - Caritas.

ü Caritas spirituality introduction organization

ü The Parish Committee of Social Security - Caritas will continue to maintain ongoing activities, if invited to invite more people to participate to spread the spirit of love and charity.
