On July 12, 2026, Caritas Da Lat successfully organized a media session on human trafficking for more than 250 children at Dung K'No Parish, Da Lat Diocese. The program is not only an opportunity to gain knowledge but also a space to listen to the children's honest and naive perspectives on a painful social issue.

Entering the media session, the Dung K'No children brought an open atmosphere through extremely simple and rustic answers. When asked: "Where do bad guys usually kidnap?", small hands timidly raised with answers: in "secluded" places, at home, at school and in places with few people passing by.

Continuing the story, when asked: "After arresting people, what will they do next?", the children's naive vocabulary once again made the program makers surprised and pondered. The children innocently mentioned phrases they often heard in life or in the media: "sold through Cam", "taken to the autonomous zone", or even "beaten", "organ taken", and "cheated". The innocence in the children's expressions is in complete contrast to the severity of the cruel tricks that human traffickers are carrying out.

However, from that rudimentary understanding, the organizers have a basis to guide, analyze and shape the children's awareness in a more systematic way.

Closing the media session, the Caritas Da Lat team's greatest joy was seeing the clear change in the eyes and awareness of more than 250 children. They have a better understanding of the dangerous nature of human trafficking today, and are equipped with basic skills to prevent and protect themselves against the increasingly sophisticated tricks of bad guys.

The journey to protect children is a long one, and Caritas Da Lat will continue to make continuous efforts to bring this practical knowledge to more parishes and future preschools.
