A Little Heartfelt Prayer Time to Walk
A LITTLE MIND THROUGH PRAYER TIME
A fresh morning, with a beautiful space, at 6:45' on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the Dalat Pastoral Center, Caritas Dalat Office organized a traveling prayer time, in the spirit of living the week of Laudato Si: "prayer and action to protect the common home" (from May 22-29, 2022). There were about 20 people participating in the prayer time. people (grandparents, brothers and sisters in the BXH Committee - Caritas Gx. Thanh Mau, volunteer group Gx. Mai Anh, Gx. Tao Tac,...)
With simple suggestions, we enter prayer time in stages: Air, water, soil and ecosystem - the web of life. Participating in the prayer time of walking on the green grass hill, the gentle sunlight, the caressing wind, the rows of tall pine trees making the air more cool, the wind blowing across my cheeks was cold, cool, very pleasant. In the distance, clouds are floating as if chasing each other, birds are singing brightly and sweetly. Near me, there were many chirping sounds of insects, including the crowing of a cricket. The feelings about: sounds, sights, breezes, fresh air that I cannot recognize, cannot feel if I do not have these moments of calm, these moments of slowing down in nature, away from the hustle and bustle, hustle and bustle of the world outside are truly wonderful that I have during prayer time.
Furthermore, being able to live in this precious space and time to pray and contemplate has evoked in me a feeling of gratitude to God. We freely breathe fresh air, but many times I am not aware of the free gift that God gives every moment, "to breathe oxygen without having to pay anything", while many patients are having to buy oxygen to breathe.God gave me eyes to see the beautiful surroundings, I feel very happy because there I see the image of God present, I feel happy that God loves me so much through the nature that He gives me. But we have directly or indirectly hurt and caused harm to the surrounding environment. May God forgive us and give us grace to courageously change our lives through "environmental conversion", to preserve, renovate, and take care of God's gift, making the "Common Home" a place worth living for everyone and all species.
Thank God for giving us these precious moments. This time of traveling prayer helps us to better experience God's wonderful love through creation, and we are invited to "care for and preserve" the gift God has given us. We hope everyone will join hands to protect the "Common Home".
